The last days I've experienced pain in my
penis. It feels like a guitar string or
something under the skin of my penis,
which hurts. It starts at the base of the
penis and continues a couple of inches up.
I don't think it's a normal vein, because
it's colorless and much harder than a
vein. Before the penis pain occured, I had
swollen lymph nodes in my groin, on the
left side. I don't know if that has
anything to do with the penis pain though.
I've consulted my doctor about this
problem, but he just said I should come
back in a couple of weeks if the problem
didn't resolve. I've read something about
Peyronie's disease, but since I'm only
seventeen and the symptoms aren't quite
similar to those of that disease, I don't
find it likely that that's the problem.
Any suggestions?

A clinical examination (inspection and
palpation) of your penis would be required
in order to answer your question. In
Peyronie disease (induratio penis
plastica) pain is present during the
erection. Penis curvature is also present
during the erection. The lesion in the
penis does not look like a guitar string
but more like fibrotic plaque with a
diameter of more than 1.5 cm. An
ultrasound definitely confirms or excludes
Peyronie disease.
In your case, that guitar string-like
feature could represent vein thrombosis.
You should consult a urologist about this
problem.
