Hello,

For over 3 months now I have been experiencing a persistent tension type headache. About 3 months ago I had a CT scan done which was normal. I went to a general practitioner who did some blood tests and those two came back normal. He referred me to a neurologist who believes it's just a chronic tension headache, he prescribed depakote of which I took for a week and did not notice any change.

I went to an opthamologist for an eye exam and my eyes are healthy other than being nearsighted for which I have eyeglasses. I was complaining about floaters and unusual vision problems which I couldn't really describe very well, but he said everything looked ok.

Well, last evening I went for a short jog and about thirty minutes later my headache was probably worse than it has ever been. Today it is bad, though not quite as bad and I'm irritable and on edge. What I'm wondering is should I seek to have my follow up appointment with my neurologist moved up and request an MRI, or is it unlikely to be necessary seeing that the CT scan was normal?
