About 6 weeks ago I developed swollen palatine tonsils with white coated pits. It started simply with a slight sore throat. The sore throat diminished about three days later however my throat continued to feel constricted. The tonsils have remained about a centimeter away from each other, enlarged pits remain, but white coating is gone. Sore throat is intermitted as is dry mouth, but when is sore/dry it last a day or two. My tongue has a slight white coating and has large bumps on it where it lies directly under the tonsils. No fever has ever been present, no vomiting, no diarrhea (that cant be contributed to a poor meal). Consuming food was only difficult within the first week of the onset of symptoms. Constant constriction feeling is present. Drooling and snoring at night occurs (not normal). One small red spot has been seen on one tonsil as well as one on my uvula. Every once in a while my gums around my teeth feel slightly swollen with insignificant pain. Additionally a small red spot, almost a lesion about 1 mm in length on the roof of my mouth. Streptococcus and mononucleosis were tested for and determined not to be the pathogens. RBC was normal, and WBC was only slightly elevated(but apparently not to an extent in which it would be considered viral). Please help.
