Headache that is experienced like burning sensation indicates neuralgia, or pain/discomfort sensation due to nerve injury or nerve irritation.
According to headache location and way of spreading this could be an occipital neuralgia, headache due to affected occipital nerve.
Usually, it starts at the upper neck, back of the head, and behind the ears, usually on one side of the head.
You may also experience pain in the scalp, forehead, and behind the eyes.
At the time of headache, you may have eyes sensitive or painful to the light and scalp sensitive to touch (lying on the pillow, brushing the hair is uncomfortable or even painful).
