Hi,
i have been using depo for contraception for almost 4 years, my last injection runs out in a few weeks but i do not want to continue with it, i have made an appointmet to have the mirena coil fitted next month.
i have not had a period in around 3.5 years, will they return after having the mirena fitted and also should i experience any problems.
i am 19 years old and have had no children.

Thanks

Well I have the mirena right now and i'm thinking of having it removed. I'm going to the dr. today. it's the side effects that are worrying me. the mood swings, no desire to have sex, and the headaches are horrible. but everyone is different. i also was on the depo when i was younger i didn't like it at all. i'm 23 with a child. after i got the mirena i had regular periods then after one year they just stopped. that i like but not the side effects that goes with it. hope this helps you out.
