I'm 17 years old and I'm 95% sure I have Periodontitis. I keep telling my mom to take me to the dentist, I keep on trying to remind her, but still I don't have an appointment. At this point I'm ashamed to say that I'm in tears because I don't know what to do. I am so afraid of losing my teeth and I haven't had good dental hygiene throughout the years.

I just don't know what to do, I started noticing it about a month ago or so and I'm pretty sure it's only gotten worse.

Please help me...how long before I don't have any teeth?

well start using good hygeine practices--flossing , brushing and perhaps using some listerene. perhaps ask your mom when the best time for her is to take you to the dentist and then make the appt yourself---sometimes you have to be proactive with this and get the ball rolling yourself--be persistant.
