Q: Period two weeks early on birth control

Okay, so i just started on birth control this month. I am on aviane-28. I started it before i had gotten my period for the month, and now i got my period 2 weeks early like i still have a week of birth control pills and a week of sugar pills. What does this mean?

It is really common for the first few months of birth control pills to mess with your cycle. Another commonality with birth control is mid-cycle or break thru bleeding. Continue taking your birth control as prescribed. It doesn't mean anything is wrong.
