I have a problem with the menstrual products that I have been using. I hate pads, because when you go to the bathroom you have to "wipe" and there is blood and that grosses me out so bad I feel light headed. With tampons you feel clean and I love that aspect, but when they "expand" inside of me it gives me terrible cramps. Since the tampons cause problems, I have been using pads, but I cant handle them for much longer. I have looked up alternatives, and have read about menstrual cups, sponges and reusable pads. Obviously I don't want the pads, and the sponges sound like they would collect bacteria like no other. So that leaves me with the menstrual cups. Since they are worn lower in the vaginal canal, do you think they would cause cramps also? I am comfortable with my body for the most part, so I could handle insertion and removal, but I just cant handle sitting in blood all day like with pads. I need some sort of options, and not anything that would stop my period, but just to take care of my flow. Thanks for your help so much!
