I have been trying to conceive for six months now, and I'm having some trouble narrowing down my due date of my period because I've never been regular. It seems to be about every 64 days I get my period. I went to the doctor a few weeks ago, and I was told to purchase the ovulation kits to help me narrow down my fertile days. I went ahead and made the purchase. I got a positive LH surcharge result on January 26th, then on February 1st I began spotting. I thought it was my period at first, but the blood never got heavier and it never became red. It was really only there after I wiped myself, and it was always a dark brown color. The spotting stopped last night (February 5th). I was doing some research online, and I found out about implantation bleeding. Last night, I took a test to determine if I am pregnant or not. The test came back negative. Is it possible that was my period? I have never had anything like that before, so I'm not sure what to think. When I do get my period, the blood is usually heavy and red, and cramping usually accompanies it. I didn't have any of that this month. Do you think it was too soon for me to take the test? Basically, I'm wondering when I can take another home pregnancy test again, or should I just ask the doctor to run some blood work?
