My last period was December the 14th, me and my boyfriend are TTC so we had unprotected sex often. My period was due January 15th, I had very light spotting of light pink blood (only when I wiped) and lasted for a day on January 2nd. Anyway January 15th comes no period. So I got my hopes up of being pregnant, I took a pregnancy test on January 19th and January 20th both negative. Then January 22nd comes along and I had started bleeding lightly then it got heavy with few clots, so I took it as I wasn't pregnant it lasted only 2 days. It was a different colour to my normal period. Could it be a sign of pregnancy? I have the whole nipple changing colour and I am getting really tired faster as well? Anyone have/had the same experience?
Welcome to ehealthforum,
The symptoms that you describe could suggest possibility of pregnancy. Do not delay in visiting your doctor/gynecologist for thorough examination (to confirm pregnancy related changes/signs in body) and blood/serum HCG level test (to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately). The urine pregnancy tests done very early in pregnancy can show you false negative results as the kits are calibrated ones, so unless the hormone levels in urine reach a certain level, they do not show positive results. The test should always be done on early morning first urine sample to get accurate results (pregnancy hormone HCG is believed to be in highest concentration in this sample, and you should avoid lot of fluid intake and caffeinated beverages in the night before taking the test). Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Take adequate rest. Drink plenty of water. Maintain healthy diet.
