Here is my delima I had sex June 27 my period for June was the first week. I have since started bleeding it doesn't saturate a pad at all but when I wipe the toilet paper is dark red and i'm passing clots when I urinate. I have a blood test due on the 31 and then a repeat on the 21 if I am pregnant will the blood test pick it up. My dr. says that if both test say I am NOT pregnant then I am not because the blood test are rarely wrong is the 31 and 21 adequate time.

You can also try a home pregnancy test. And yes the blood test will pick it up! They are rarely wrong.

In your opinion does this sound like a period or implantation bleeding?

I'm pretty sure implantation bleeding is more light bleeding or spotting and usually is more pink or brownish. How normal are your periods, do you usually start out light or heavy?

Actually, I failed a blood test when I was only like 3 weeks, but I knew I was pregnant I just had this feeling, so I waited another week and took a pee test, followed by like 14 more, and they were positive, and a dr, well several were able to confirm it. Its hard to say, sometimes tests can be wrong it depends on hcg levels. The best way is to take a test, and if its negative take another a week later. But this could just be a period, sometimes if your worried or if your on bc it can throw your period off.

If your blood test is negative and you're having heavy bleeding, you are not pregnant. Even if you WERE pregnant, the heavy bleeding would strongly suggest a blighted ovum or miscarriage.

Most people don't get a blood test until they have already missed their period. At 3 weeks pregnant the embryo is still planting itself into the uterine wall and your body would just then be STARTING to produce HCG so I don't think it would be unlikely to test negative depending on whether the embryo had fully implanted itself or not.

Your bleeding, you have two negative tests. You are not pregnant

I'm not getting my blood test until the 31 then again on the 21 don't you think that would be enough time. I was told that blood test pick up little amount hcg so they are rarely wrong if my period is dark red and heavy but not saturating the pad is that still ok.

I honestly dont know why your even getting a blood test done if your bleeding heavy and dark red. This is obviously your period. You would not be bleeding like this if you were pregnant

Yeh I agree, it sounds like your period. Implantation bleeding is light bleeding/ spotting. Yes blood tests pick up a lower HCG than a home pregnancy test.

Implantation bleeding is not heavy or red. Period bleeding is.

Relax. You're not pregnant.

Women do not feel flutters in their stomach (baby movements) until 18 weeks pregnant and beyond. You'd be obviously pregnant by that point.

Women do not have periods while pregnant - it's physically impossible. They might have bleeding, but...

1. This is extremely rare.
2. It's not comparable to a period at all. If a woman's uterine lining completely emptied out of her, her baby would be flushed away as well. The egg is embedded in the lining (that's what the lining is there for), so if the lining goes, the egg goes with it.
3. Heavy bleeding during a pregnancy is a huge red flag for a miscarriage and medical treatment is almost always required.

If you're STILL thinking you're pregnant, why not put your mind at ease and take a test? Everyone here has told you that you're not, but that's obviously not enough to settle you, so please take a pregnancy test. Or better yet, call your doctor and request a blood test.

Why are you mashing on your stomach? Confused

My fear is two negative blood test and then finding out that I am down the road that would devistate me. How common is that? My dr will not do an ultrasound.

A blood test is definitive. There is no way, no chance that you would be pregnant and not have it show up on a blood test. Not. Going. To. Happen.
