Hello,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
Your abnormal bleeding could be a result of hormonal imbalances. Do not delay your appointments any more. Take urgent help in identifying the possible underlying cause behind it. You might need blood tests, including hormonal tests and ultrasound scan to see what is wrong.
The bleeding could also be due a possible past miscarriage that could have lead to severe and prolonged bleeding (due to retained products of conception inside the uterine cavity) which stopped when the uterus got completely cleared.
Meet your healthcare provider/gynecologist and discuss these possibilities. Proceed with further investigations and treatment as suggested.
Take care.
