My boyfriend and I engaged in sexual intercourse and he was using a condom. Before he ejaculates, he usually pulls out and just finishes in the condom. He was able to do that but right before he did we both saw that the condom broke while we were having sex but he did NOT ejaculate in me.

That was on January 3rd. The day after (January 4th), a little before 12 hours after we had sex, I took plan B. 2 days later on Wednesday (Jan. 6) I got my period or at least I thought. My period isn't very consistent so I wasn't exactly sure when it was due.

I keep track of when I get it and I've gotten it on these days over the past few months : Sept. 25, Oct. 22, Nov. 19, and Dec. 10.

My period that I got on Jan. 6 ended this past Sunday on Jan. 10
However today (Jan. 12), I noticed that I am starting to spot and it is dark spotting. Is there I chance I may be pregnant?

He did not ejaculate in me but the condom broke sometime while we were doing it. It wasn't a spermicide condom. We have had unprotected sex before and I didn't take plan B but I did get my period which would last longer then the past one (Jan.6-Jan. 12)

This was my first time using the pil.

Thanks for the help.

NarCar, I can not tell you if you are pregnant or not - for that you will have to take a pregnancy test.

It is however normal to bleed about a week after taking Plan B. Plan B is a very very high dose hormonal birth control pill. As soon as the hormones get out of your system, you will start to bleed, just like a woman on the normal pill will start to bleed when she gets to the placebo pills. The mechanism is exactly the same.

Your real menstruation (vs. the bleeding from Plan B) may be on time or a bit delayed.

Best of luck!

Would a pregnancy test at this point be accurate though? Since now I have no idea if I missed my period or not - if that makes sense?

Do you know on average how long your cycles are? Just add that number of days to your last confirmed period date and test then. Repeat after 7 days to confirm the first result.

If you can not figure it out, wait 19 days from the date of the 'accident' before testing and repeat 7 days later.

Use a good quality early detection kit like First Response Early Result.

Please help! Plan B problems and implantion bleeding
Hi me and my boyfriend had sex on march 31st and the condom broke. With in hours of sex I took the plan B pill, it is almost a week later and I have noticed a light pinkish bleeding it's barley anything. I have also had some light cramping in my lower abdomen, should I be worried this is implantation bleeding and that I'm pregnant or is this normal?
