It's been 2 weeks since my procedure and 1 week since the catheter was removed. I have much urine leakage and I am doing Kegel Exercises often to help gain bladder control. My perineal region has become sore and I'm wondering if it's do to doing the exercises correctly or incorrectly...or...something else??

I am having a similar problem. I had the surgery about a month ago. The Urologist who did the surgery does not want to accept that the pain is due to the surgery. However, when I repeatedly called him with this complain, he now says that it may take three to four months for the pain to go away but he could not guanrantee this. The perinial pain prevents me from sitting ona chain even if sit on a soft cushion. Also, the pain runs into the scrotum and into the head of the penis. The pain gets worse after a bowel movement.

Couple of things you could do. (1) Apply a cold pack on the perineum (2) there are over the counetr ointments that you could buy in drug stores that will temporarily benom the area and give you some releif.
