Hi,

My husband has Pericarditis. He is currently taking Indomethacin for the inflammation, but it doesn't help much with the pain. Does anyone have any suggestions for ways to deal with the pain when it flares up? Does a hot tub help? Ice on the chest? We would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

What kind of pericarditis your husband has? How long your husband has the pericarditis?
Therapy depends from the type and etiology of the pericarditis. Pericarditis can be acute, chronic, intermittent, constrictive, causing effusion and tamponade etc. Pericarditis can be due to infection (viral, bacterial, yeast, parasite...), autoimmune disease, trauma, metabolic disorders, other heart disorders etc.
