I went to a general surgeon to get a look at what I thought was a external hemmoroid. She took a look and said "you just have a small skin tag" She then said she didnt suggest surgery because it was horrible and painful.I asked her what caused it and will i have it for the rest of my life, she stated I probably had a hard stool that stretched the skin and they usually last a lifetime. I felt really discoraged for its a loose piece of skin hanging on my perineum starting from my anus all the way up to my vaginal opening (about size of kidney bean). I'm only 23 with NO kids and I do plan on having some one day and I can only see this being in the way with my future marriage(sexual relationship) and childbearing . Its just like a bundle of skin when I pinch it and it doesnt hurt I would think it could just be frozen off or at the very less shrunk somehow. It bothers me and my womanhood not to mention I can no longer work out because it rubs against my clothes causing pain/itching and sometimes wakens me at night. Not to mention the hygeine if i dont take a bath after having a bowel movement or sweating its just NASTY. I made an appiontment with an OBGYN doctor 2 weeks for today to see if it will get in the way with my carrying a baby and having a vaginal birth, and if he can suggest a colorectal doctor that will remove it

Any suggestions I will greatly appreciate.

Thanks for reading Sorry so long...

Wow, that sounds like a big skin tag. I get small ones on my neck. Ask the OBGYN if you can have it removed or be sent to some specialist, especially since it's causing these issues.

Usually what they do with skin tags (DO NOT DO THIS YOURSELF) is to wrap a string around it to cut of the blood supply and cut it off. I say not to do it yourself because where it is and how big it is, it's going to hurt without numbing medication and probably bleed a lot. Also, the location makes it vulnerable to infection, which could be very bad.

I hope you find a doctor that can remove it. Best of luck to you!
