Penis uretha opening tear

the slit at the opening of the penis opening appears to have been torn. The slit appears to have become longer by about 2mm and is very red where the suspected tear has taken place. It stings sometimes after sex and urination and feels uncomfortable at times. I was referred to a Urologist but he did not think the slit looked abnormal, howver, my GP agreed that it looked like a tear. This has been going on for almost a year as I initially though I had a STD but was tested as being clear. Any Advice gratefully received!
