Hi, I'm 16 and I've been having some problems, a few days ago I knocked my penis by mistake on my jeans while it was erect. It seemed to hurt a little at the time but I haven't really had any pains. I went to the toilet for a pee that night and it was fine, but the next morning I went and a small part of it was very dark, almost as if there was maybe a small amount of blood or something like that. Although this hasn't happened since and it's been quite normal.

I've not particularly seen any physical problems, although I'm unable to pull my foreskin back properly anyway to check as it's too tight. Thats a problem I've had before this.

It's still feeling quite tender and I can feel it slightly sometimes where I'd knocked it, but the main problem is that I haven't had an erection properly (although the day after it happened I did seem to have an erection like normal) but since then it's either only gone up half way or I've got a full erection but it only lasted a few seconds.

I'm considering going to the doctors, but would like any advice that I can before I do. Thank you. Smile

It is possible to bruise your penis. Normally bruises take a few days to heal. If you're noticing that this dark patch is disappearing, and you're free from any pain or discomfort, you're probably fine. But, if the dark patch remains or if it goes away and you still have discomfort and erection problems within a week, I'd probably see a doctor.

Ah, sorry the way I worded it didn't explain it properly, the dark patch was in my pee the morning after it had happened. This hasn't happened since then though, only the once.

Unfortunately I have phimoses (think thats how you spell it) so I'm unable to pull the foreskin back to check it for bruises.

Although, now that you mention it it does seem to sound like it could be a bruise. I guess it's just a bit unusual to be on your penis. Hopefully it should be alright, but I'll go to the doctors if it goes on for too long.

Thanks for the reply Smile

Hi, Benn 115!
Penile trauma can lead to bruise of a soft penile tissue.
Generally, bruising resolves in 2 or 3 weeks following the injury with extra caution not to be injured again.
Usually, this injury is accompanied with urethra injury that can manifests with haematuria (blood in urine)

Do you have acquired phimosis (previously able to retract the foreskin)?

It'll be best to visit urologist!

Ah right, well I'm sure I'll take extra caution now. Rolling Eyes

No I've never been able to retract the foreskin, thats another problem I supose, would it be recommended to go to the doctors about that?

I've never really had any problems (that I know of) with my foreskin, but I have had aching along my penis sometimes when I have an erection for maybe more than 10-20 minutes or so. Not really sure if thats a problem with the foreskin, but I've gotten used to it as I've always had this problem and actually believed it was normal for a while. Might even be normal for all I know, but doubt it.

Anyways, might be swaying a little off the topic.

Thank you for the help Smile

Phimosis (unable to retract the foreskin) causes painful erection and painful sexual intercourse. Now, you may not feel the pain very much but when you start practicing sex you will probably find the problem more difficult. Phimosis can cause permanent erectile dysfunction (because of the pain) as long as it is not surgically resolved (circumcision).
Small penile traumas (like yours I believe) can cause only temporary erectile dysfunction.
You can consult some urologist to solve your phimosis and to estimate the penile trauma severity.
