Thank you for your question on ehealthforum.

The foreskin on the penis is attached by a tag of skin (frenulum) to the body at the base of the head. The frenulum may be injured due to friction during the act of coitus or masturbation. The injured area can cause pain and may bleed. Usually, this does not require any treatment as it rarely gets infected and heals without any problems. However, it is advisable to avoid friction to the area for a few days to help heal the wound.

Abstinence for a few days is recommended. If the wounded area doesn’t get better and still hurts, please consult your doctor for the examination and an opinion. Thank You.
