I have been having pelvic pain. I had an pelvic ultrasound and a transvaginal ultrasound done....the results showed cysts on my ovaries with possible hemmoraging. The dr. who ordered the test said I need a complete hysterectomy...but he wants to do the surgery at a different hospital than the one my insurance will cover the best.

A different doctor said I need a DNC done first and then several other things before my insureance would pay for a hysterectomy.

Why would one doctor say I need a hysterectomy and another one say a DNC? Would a DNC help me? I also have scar tissue from my c-section.

I doubt that you need all these things done before you have a Hysterectomy....Why go to all this suffering from other procedures when eventually you end up with the original advice you were given?....

I can't tell you what to do and you may either want to see another physician or go with your gut feeling...Either way, good luck...

P.S. I lost my ovaries with my Hysterectomy at age 47 and have never looked back...
