I have had headaches, pelvic pain on my right side, hip pain, abd pain, loss of appetite and totally unexpected weight gain. The pain is moderate all the time and severe at nights. I get full after tryin to eat. I am 25 years old with a famiy history of cancers and diabetes. This has lasted for atleast a couple weeks and has worsened since I have started my period. I have had the Periguard for almost 4 years. I have had cysts noticed on my ovaries by my OB/GYN during my last pelvic exam. I don't have any health insurance and I am concerned on how long I shoud wait before I try to seek attention. My question: Are these symptoms worthy of a trip to the ER? I will have health insurance in a couple months.

Hi,
Welcome to the forum. I am really glad to help you out. The marked symptoms of pain which you're having can't be ignored. You need to undego investigations like a CT scan or an MRI of the abdomen/pelvis/hip to look for the pathology causing the symptoms.

You should not wait for your insurance. The pathology could be in the ovaries or in the colon (large gut). I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
