I'm a 20 year-old female and I have terrible pelvic pain after having an orgasm. When I first hit puberty (approx. 13-14), I had terrible cramps. Around age 16, I began taking Ortho Tricycline-lo, and the crippling cramps subdued somewhat.

In attempt to deal with my ongoing acne, I switched to Ortho Tricycline. While it has helped some, in the past year I've been having terrible pains whenever I have an orgasm, which as you can imagine, is straining on my fiance and I's relationship. I don't feel comfortable pointing a finger at the medication, because I can't recall if they began before or after I switched pills, and I probably would have noticed the connection.

Either way, I've developed this pain that permeates from just below the belly button to my vagina and anus, which is similar to a mixture of gassiness and menstrual cramps, and occurs after orgasming during any point of my cycle. My period is getting lighter, the pain worse, and sometimes my discharge is almost a brownish color as opposed to just .. red. I have also noticed more tenderness in my pelvic area and gassiness, which I can't say I've ever experienced in my life. I have recently switched back to a vegetarian diet (after 2 years of eating meat) to no avail (though I do plan on sticking to it this time). If anything, it seems like the speed of my digestion is slowing and gassiness increasing exponentially, and no, it definitely isn't the tofu or other beans, as I have eaten them for years without complication.

I'm a full-time college student with zero funding and no insurance, like half of the country. So I guess I'm just looking for some advice, or someone with a similar story so I know what to tell the doctors to look for if it continues to worsen.

Thanks for taking the time!
