hi,

this is basically my story:

i'm 20 years old. i usually have my period on the 10th of every month. this year, i had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on the 8th of May... my mom had given me a pill to delay my period a day before that, that is the 7th... i had an i-pill within 24 hours of the unprotected sex, but i had a light period that month. however, i was undergoing a huge amount of stress.

the next month, that is, june, i completely missed my period. my mom does not know about me having sex, however she was worried tht i missed my period so she took me to a gynaecologist on the 24th of that mont(July). i got a home pregnancy test on the 23rd which was negative... the gynaecologist did a blood test and sonography but both were normal and so the doctor said it was smoking and stress... (i had been smoking/drinking heavily and was under quite a lot of stress). i got my period in july and august and this month, however they have been slightly longer and heavier than usual...

2 days ago i went to the gynaec again because im vomiting and having lower back cramps. she did another blood test and gave me a pelvic exam. all i want to know is, will a pelvic exam overlook an 18 week old pregnancy? also, is it possible that my blood wasnt tested for HCG at all, so that the gynaec doesnt know im pregnant?

pls help

You are not pregnant. A blood test would show you have no HCG in your system. If they aren't testing for HCG, what are they testing for?

Your cervix changes color when you are pregnant. Your doctor would see it immediately.

Your uterus would be all the way up by your belly button at this point (18 weeks), there is NO way your doctor would miss these signs.

Couple this with your previous sonogram, prior pregnancy tests, exams -

You are 100% not pregnant.
