Q: Pea size lump in armpit

I have a small pea size lump in my armpit. It is under the skin, and it does not hurt. I know I should have it looked at but have two questions.
1. Should I wait a couple of weeks to see if it goes away.
2. Who should I see my primary care doc or have a mammo scheduled myself or what?
Thanks

I found the same thing in my left armpit on Saturday of this week and on Sunday it was smaller. Today is Monday and it is not as sore today. The skin is red and I think it is a pimple or an ingrown hair. If it does not go away in a few days, I will go to the Doctor.
