The pea sized lump behind your ear just after a sinus infection could be a swollen lymph node. This may persist for some time even after the infection is gone.
The other possibility is a neurofibroma (collection of nerve and fibrous tissue). This is a harmless swelling that may have been there for some time and gone un-noticed. Please do not touch it daily and if it increases in size, becomes painful or bleeds or itches then consult your doctor regarding this. Hope this helps. Take care!
