Where do I start?
Basically i have pcos & my husband has a low sperm count of 29000, and mobility of 79% aswell as some being not quite the shape they should be.I am a insulin dependant diabetic on a pump but i am regulated.
Initially we were given the option of clomid or ivf but we couldnt have both we thought so we opted for ivf, and metmorfine.
I have just had my cycle of ivf with icsi, i responded well to drugs i has 12 eggs.
But when i had the procedure there was only 7 eggs. But both my eggs and my husbands sperms were good and icsi applied successfuly.
But i got the phone call on tuesday that 3 were not as they should be and the rest hadnt done anything, so i didnt even get to the implantation stage devastated, when everything appeared to be so good.
Anyway we went to see are doctor and he said he was speechless, he didnt expect this from the results, and said he wouldnt change anything with the treaztment, so ive got to wait for him to get back to me now.
I dont no what to do??
4500 is such a lot for another round of ivf.
Is there any chance of us getting pregnant naturally, or is there anything we could do to help???????????? xxxx

I am sorry to hear about your trials and tribulations. PCOS and diabetes often goes together.

The two questions that you need to have answered is:

Do you still ovulate. What is the ways your doctor can use to induce ovulation if you do not. This should be much much much cheaper.

What can hubby do to improve his sperm count. You might have gone down that path before, but it is worth it to try and get his sperm count more normal. 29,000 is an extremely low sperm count. For all practical purposes he is totally infertile. Is there a medical reason for it?

If those two aspects can be improved, and you can properly time intercourse and improve the conditions during intercourse, there may be a chance. But without an egg and enough healthy sperm to fight their wai to the egg, it will be very difficult if not impossible.

This is really a discussion too long for this forum. Your doctors should be able to give you all the info you need.

Best of luck with your journey.
