I'm almost 30 years old and was diagnosed with PCOS almost a year ago. My husband and I (recently married) have been trying to conceive(TTC) for about 3 months now. I am currently taking Metformin 3 x day (500mg each) and have only gotten one period since taking it (one year) and that was just 5 weeks ago. I've had ultrasounds to see if the blood was building up inside, but shows nothing, which means I'm not ovulating. My husband and I try to have sex every other day. I'm taking my temperature every morning before I get up and it's all over (looks more like a heart beat than daily temperature reading). I'm starting to worry that I'll never get pregnant. I'm going to see an OB/GYN in October so I'm hoping he'll have some answers for me, but what are the chances that with me not ovulating regularly, that I'll be able to conceive? Even my nightmares at night are making me worry. I'm starting to feel sad and depressed more often. Is there anyone out there who has any suggestions?? I just want to cry because I want to be pregnant.

I also have PCOS and I'm 27. I feel your pain and have had the same problems. I have convinced myself that I'm having infertility problems due to having the depo shot after having my second daughter in 2004. My first daughter was born in 2000...no problem getting prego with her. I got prego in 2003 with twins but lost them. Two months later I was prego again. May 2004 had my second daughter and started the depo shot. 2006 stop the shot and started trying for my third. 2008 still trying and found out I have PCOS. I'm now on Clomid for the third month and still no luck. I didn't have any problems before the depo shot and I certainly didn't have PCOS. I'm really frustrated and mad at myself for taking the depo shot. Does anyone else have trouble conceiving after the shot? I really hope that pregnancy happens for you. You should start taking Clomid along with the Metformin this will increase your chances of becoming pregnant.
