Current medical status: I am suffering with PCOD. Insulin hormone level is normal 18.39. FBS is 132. Remaining all hormone levels and every thing is fine. Fallopian tubes are normal. Blood group is B and Husbands sperm count is less only 40% are progressive.
Current medical treatment: Wit h medicin only i am getting period.(progestron contained tablets). after every period on 5th day on word up to 9 th day taking clofine citreate. from 9th day onwords i am taking FSH hormone injections

One of the consequences of PCOS is sterility because ovulation is prevented. There are a few ways to provoke ovulation. Birth control pills are used first. If that does not help ovulation, stimulators like clomiphene or FSH are used. Metformin (oral antidiabetic) is also given for treating PCOS. Treatment of PCOS is usually lengthy. There is no diet for PCOS.

Therapy for your husband depends upon the precise diagnosis. Sperm count should be at least 20 millions/ml. Vitality, mobility, and normal morphology should be over 50%. Endocrine disorders (hypogonadism) and infections can be treated with medicines. Varicocele is treated surgically. Unfortunately in 50% of male sterility cases the reason remains unknown.

If medicines do not help, you and your husband may consider trying one of the assisted reproductive techniques (“in vitro”-fertilization or ICSI).

You may want to consult a gynecologist about this.
