Getting Pregnant Answer A4401
Current medical status: i have multiple small cyst in my right and left ovary, I never got my period till they put me on birth control pill at age 14

PCOS is an endocrine disorder that is manifested by several issues including lack of ovulation (egg-cell expelling). Without ovulation conception is impossible. There are a few methods for provoking the ovulation. The first and easiest method is to try with birth control pills. Pills are taken for a few months and after you stop taking them we expect the body to establish ovulation and regular cycles. If this doesn’t help ovulation stimulators are used. Ovulation stimulators are clomiphene, GnRH-analogs and FSH/LH analogs. Therapy of PCOS usually lasts pretty long until you achieve conception so you need to be patient. It is also believed that PCOS is due to insulin resistance so Metformin (oral anti-diabetic drug) is also used together with the ovulation stimulators.

You may want to consult an endocrine gynecologist about your problem.
