ok so i just got married 3 months ago my husband and i are young and active. I was diagnosed with PCOS(polycystic ovarian syndrome) about 2 years ago didn't really think much about it at the time since they said that there was nothing i could really do about it. since getting married i have looked up a lot of information on it and have found that most women with this are infertile i dont know why i wasn't told about this upon diagnosis i fear that i will never be able be able to get pregnant. my husband and i have recently been looking into adoption. and i am getting more discouraged by the minute it seems it takes ages for adoptions to go through and the fertility treatments are expensive and might not even work and i dont know what to do i don't even know anyone else with this syndrome. i know that its not hopeless but i just feel so sad and depressed my husband is the strong one he is not concerned at all he says it will happen when its meant to happen but i'm not sure , anyone out there . . . . . . .advice?

Take a breath
I have been diagnosed with pcos also and never really worried about the baby issue and I had no plans of getting married. Well I got married and we would love to have a child. I suggest first that you make taking care of you ...yep diet exercise healthy life style ect . Second I have made it a point not to stress about getting pregnant which trust me I know is and hard to relax about ( going on 30 here). See your doctor there are some things out there that can help (yep your talking hormones here because that is what it takes). My best friend (also has pcos) has spent the last 2 years getting into shape eating healthy taking multivitamins and trying not to freak out every month has finally conceived (with out medical assistance) and will soon have her first child. She has given me hope and I hope to pass that on to you. Also find someone that you chat with (helps if they have it) when things get tough.

Best of luck.

PCOS infertility
You gals are on the right track, PCOS can be reversed and the biggest thing you can do is get your body healthy. Think...exercise daily, eat healthy fresh and organic and take some good vitamins. I struggled for years until I found a group that helped me get my body healthy and then I got pregnant within months. I got pregnant after my doctor at home told me I never would naturally. Good luck to you all!!
