So, I have been on Paxil(generic) and Ambien(generic) since november 25 of last year. At first, my depression and anxiety and insomnia seemed to in all symptoms, disappear. Then, starting in february, my body started kind of freaking out. I'm constantly dizzy and feel sick and tired. My lack of motivation from before has gone to the other extreme, I was so motivated that I would snip at friends for not doing things fast enough. After about two weeks of that, I completely crashed. I was sleeping 20 hours a day, and still tired. Barely eating, and when I was eating, I would eat high calories so that I could try and keep my body going. However, with eating this one meal a day and sleeping far too much, I gained weight. I've spiked at 295, and Tried to turn it around, because I'll be damned if I get to 300. It worked for a while, I was motivated and losing weight on weight watchers. And then I got food poisoning and now the bad symptoms are back. I just let my meds run out and haven't taken them for about a week, and the weird dizziness and such are gone, but I'm back to trying to keep myself going to classes, just getting up and showering is a fight. I don't know what to do. It's either one mess or another. Has anyone else had a bad reaction and switched to another medication? What do you do in this situation?

When on medication you need to have your physician monitoring your progress and reactions. I didn't hear whether you had done this. Some medications can have terrible side effects. Check with your physician soon.
