While I have nothing against people who have mental disorders and who are having a difficult time functioning well, I think those people are best served by others in their same boat. As we all know, mental illnesses (including bipolar) are not one size fits all experiences. Likewise, IMO, high functioners are best served by other high functioners.

What do you think? Who do you prefer to talk to about mental health?

Extremely eHealthy
A bipolar sufferer needs both things.
Doctor's support through medication and psychotherapy, that helps learning more about your illness and keeping your symptoms under control.
Talking to people with same mental problem through support groups, helps finding understanding and sharing healthy habits and coping tips for managing your moods.

Mental health who to talk to
pointr stretch Confused Shocked Crying or Very sad yes

When I was able to afford a therapist that helped some but nobody around me seems to care since I function pretty well which does NOT help me.

I do not have others to really talk to and feel very isolated but make the best out of it. It's a be-otch!
