This seemed like the most appropriate forum to post in, sorry if im wrong.
So my friend was just diagnosed with patellar tendonitis about a week ago, and the case is nothing major (shouldnt require surgery) but not so minor that it will go away quickly.
anyways, she starts physical therapy for it in about 4 or 5 days, and her doctor isnt helping much beyond that. as you might think, she says the pain is pretty bad still, not getting any better yet.
so my first question is: is there any other way to treat the pain other than ibuprofen, anti inflammatory meds, and a knee brace?
second question: she says that her toes are feeling very numb and becoming swollen now. its on the same leg as the tendonitis, so i would naturally assume the toes are due to that fact. but I am not sure. can anyone clarify? will patellar tendonitis affect the toes in this way? and is there a good way to treat/stop this swelling?
