My wife has been passing red blood either with her stool or just by itself! Probably half a cup worth. colonoscopy (twice) has shown minor inflamation but nothing outstanding. She has mild nausea and stomach pains during this time.We are at wits end with this problem and any help at all would be appreciated.

Hello and welcome to e health forum.

Blood, mucus in the stool and severe crampy abdominal pain, associated with nausea, are some ‎symptoms that indicate conditions like ulcerative colitis, Crohns disease, Dysentery, hemorrhoids, ‎Ano-rectal tears, etc.

Since the colonoscopy has shown findings of inflammation the most probable cause could be ulcerative colitis. If not done earlier a biopsy of the colon mucosa might be confirmatory.

You might consult a gastroenterologist who might get additional tests and initiate proper treatment for the specific condition.

I hope this helps.‎
