My partner and I recently started talking about having children. But as both of us have Relapsing Remitting MS, we've been debating whether it would be a good idea to adopt instead of having our own children, if the risk of passing MS to our kids is high.

I've heard that for women with MS who give birth, the chances of the child getting MS are 1 in 40. Is this correct?

And since my partner also has MS, does this increase the chances?

*Just FYI, we are planning on seeing a genetic counselor to get a solid answer, but we just wanted to have an idea of what he might say beforehand*
