I am about 4 weeks pregnant. Yesterday, while urinating, I passed a 1/2 inch piece of white tissue. I've had no bleeding at all or cramping. Could this be a miscarriage or is this normal?
Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Usually miscarriage is accompanied with a lot of abdominal cramps and heavy bleeding with clots. Some amounts of dried vaginal secretions or even protein casts can be passed in urine. Visit your doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation and assistance. Go ahead with getting a serial HCG levels done. Doubling up of the hormonal levels within 48-72 hours will indicate that the pregnancy is going on smoothly. Be in regular follow-up and monitoring of your treating gynecologist/obstetrician and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet. Avoid use of caffeinated and carbonated beverages.
Take care.
