Q: Partial Hysterectomy & Pregnancy

I will be 35 in a couple of weeks. I had my tubes, cut/fused/tied over 8 years ago. Back In August of 2008 I had emergency surgery to remove my gall bladder and a partial hysterectomy where they took both of my ovaries due to huge cysts on both of them. My fiance and I had been discussing more children before all this happened and I was in the midst of calling my doctor to get an appointment to discuss a reversal and pregnancy options.

I was scared with all the talk of cancer and with my medicated state of mind, I was not thinking of more children at that moment in the hospital. Since all of that and things have calmed a bit and I am feeling sooo much better. My fiance and I want to see what options we may have to have another baby. I still have my uteris, just no ovaries.

What are my options and has anyone been successful in their attempt with this.

You'll need to go speak with your doctor about what your personal options may be. If your ovaries were removed, you cannot produce eggs and would need an egg donor. If you had any further surgery, removal of your uterus, you cannot have children.

Good luck.
