Partial hysterectomy for endometriosis ?
Avatar
I've had endometriosis for 6 years. I am currently getting the depoprovera shot (for the last 6 years) to halt the endometriosis. I have heard that it is not good to take this shot over 2 years, but my doctor says its ok. Anyway when I had my son (c-section) the doctor said I had endometriosis everywhere. My questions are, 1. Why can't I have a partial hystorectomy, and if I did, how do the doctors treat if endo. came back, even after surgery. and 2. what happens if I get to menopause, and the endo acts up, how do they treat it then? Thanks Leann....I'am 36 years old
