Q: Partial circumcision to fix phimosis?

Hi!

I've been attempting to do some research recently into the pro's and con's of partial circumcision to solve the problem of phimosis.

I have a small band about 20mm inside the opening of my foreskin, the band itself is only about 1mm wide but goes all the way around.

I've tried various stretching techniques, with mixed short term results, but NO long term.

Is it possible to remove the foreskin down to the area of the ring, leaving the rest of it intact...or would this just create a new ring of scar tissue, therefore leaving me with the same problem but less foreskin?

Any answers would be VERY much appreciated!
