I was having what seemed to be panic attacks (fast heart rate and shortness of breath) that lasts only around 10 minutes each attack. I went to the ER because I thought it could be my heart but they did blood work and an EKG and everything was normal and after the attack had finished I felt fine. I then went to see a doctor and they prescribed Paroxetine 20mg daily along with a small dose of Lisinopril for blood pressure. After taking the 4th dose of Paroxetine my entire body went numb while I was sleeping and since then my body has been very numb all over even in my teeth. After that I went to the ER for some odd chest pains I was having and they did x-rays and an EKG and all was normal but they recommended that I stop the Paroxetine until I see my doctor. I haven't had any form of medication in two days but my body is sore and numb all over and my muscles have exagerated movements when I try to move them only a small amount. When I try to sleep it feels like they tense up and begin to shake as if from a seizure keeping me awake at night. During the day my body is so sore and weak that it's hard to walk and my joints pop a lot. My vision is also blurred and my back is killing me. Every muscle in my body feels weak. I'm also having cold sweats during work. At first I thought it might be symptoms of a stroke but my memory and mental abilities aren't impaired and this problem is affecting both sides equally all over. I haven't taken any medications of any kind in several days but the symptoms are just as bad and seem to be getting worse. Could this be serotonin toxicity after so few doses and lasting for so long or could it be an allergic reaction? If not then what could this be? I have a doctor's appointment for this tomorrow and I'm hoping it's all temporary. Thank you.

I'm not feeling well at all. My entire body is weak all over still and it seems to be getting worse. I'm pretty light headed at the moment. When I sleep at night my body loses feeling to the limbs and teeth but when I wake up the feeling returns mostly. My muscles continue to have exaggerated movements where I have to concentrate to have fine muscle control and when I make small movements the muscles contract completely. Breathing has become a bit more difficult and I feel a lump in my throat. I went to the doctor yesterday morning and they couldn't figure out what was wrong. I then went to work but since I have a physical job the weakness kept getting worse and I kept having cold sweats. During lunch it felt like my body's energy level gave out and although I could force myself to do things I could barely take it so i went to the ER again. This time however after a long wait the woman there didn't do any tests except blood pressure and had a very bad bedside manner. She told me how the ER was just for patching people up and that my primary doctor would have to order any tests done on me. I went to the ER because I felt horrible and I thought that they could order such tests.. Right now it doesn't feel like I can last much longer. What could these symptoms of numbness during sleep, extreme weakness in the body that gets worse with activity, cold sweats, and lack of fine muscle control be related to? When I'm sleeping the symptoms seem to be located in my upper chest area and lungs and radiate outward or at least that's how it feels. Thanks for any help.
