Hi everyone. My mom has had parkinsons disease for a long time now and since she was a school teacher and had a flare for reading i thought i'd get her some books. i came across michael j. fox's autobiography called 'Lucky Man' and i was wondering if anyone here has read it. Im a little concerned that it might depress or otherwise negatively affect a parkinsons disease patient so i wanted to confirm that before i bought it for her. I realise its not the correct forum as such but i couldnt erally find any others.

Also my peace to everyone whos suffering from parkinsons and anyone who has a loved one suffering. God bless you all.

Yorrick.

Parkinson Book
I have read Lucky Man and I loved it. I am an early onset patient. I don't know if your mom would appreciate some of the words he uses. The book is very inspirational. Michael J Fox has done so much for PD research. He is an inspiration to me every day. He has a new book out called "Always Looking Up" and I'm reading it now. It is great. Both books would be a great read for you and then you could decide if you want her to read them or not.
