What causes Parkinson's?
Parkinson's is both an incurable and progressive disease, meaning that symptoms become more pronounced over time. Additionally, there is no known specific cause for Parkinson's, although there are some risk factors for developing Parkinson's. These include the following:

Age - Parkinson's typically begins in middle or later in life, and usually not in younger adults. Most adults began developing Parkinson's around the age of 60. Thereafter, the likelihood for developing the condition goes up.

Gender - Males are far more likely to develop Parkinson's than females.

Genetics - A family history of Parkinson's has been linked with increasing the likelihood, although small, of developing Parkinson's yourself. Some theories posit that genetic mutations play some role in the development of Parkinson's.

Toxins - Constant exposure to certain chemicals-including pesticides and herbicides-has been linked with a higher chance of developing Parkinson's
