This is going to sound ridiculous but please bare with me. I haven't seen a doctor about this and not sure what to do. I think that I'm being watched by beings from another world, or aliens. I always had a fear of there being intelligent superior beings other than humans. But now i think it has grown into something more than that. At least two or three days a week now I fear that I'm being watched and might possibly be approached or otherwise. If i can't remember something or can't organize my thoughts I think my mind is being blocked or invaded and might possibly lose control of my thoughts or even worse my actions. And when I realize this it sometimes puts me in a state of panic to where I have to make contact with another person to remind myself I'm not alone and I'm safe. This doesn't happen every night but when it does it's when I'm alone in my room or alone in the house and typically between late evening and early morning. I don't like being out in the country at night and only feel safe at night when I'm with other people. If I'm the last person in the house to go to sleep then it can sometimes take me a few hours to fall asleep. I have to have my window covered up and door cracked and with some type of light so I can see if there is a figure in the room. I also fear to wake up in the middle of the night with someone or something at my bedside. I've even thought about leaving some kind of weapon next to my bedside for protection. I don't want to lock the door because I'm afraid of being trapped in. So i sit and watch the doorway up until I finally fall asleep. Some nights I get very little sleep and find myself waking up through out the night. I even thought I was being followed once because when I got home from work one night I thought I saw something in the sky but it was a shooting star. But I saw the same shooting star in the same area above my house at roughly the same time the following two days when I returned from work. So now I'm constantly browsing the skies looking. I'm not always this way because sometimes I can go a day or a couple of days without even thinking about it. But if i see something resembling them or hear anyone talking about them even on the history channel or discovery channel it gets to me. Any input would be greatly appreciated. And please don't mock, I didn't get on this site to be ridiculed. If you have some insulting remark to make please keep it to yourself.

I have the same problem with the aliens, I don't insult people- that is just plain wrong. I think both the government and the aliens from another galaxy are out to get me. I know I sound just as strange as you do to "outsiders." No one believes me because they think I am delusional and psychotic. I have been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder but I don't believe the diagnosis because that would make me psychotic. I also have a bomb in my neck and have hallucinations a lot lately. Today it was a lot of voices and I don't know why. You should see a doctor just in case it is schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder. Do you hear voices? According to the DSM IV (the psychiatrist's bible basically) you must have 2 of the 5 main symptoms to qualify you as having schizophrenia. Those symptoms are divided into 2 sections called "positive" symptoms (that does NOT mean good symptoms it means added on to normal personality) and "negative" symptoms (taken away from your personality) the positive symptoms include: hallucinations, delusions, disorganized speech or behavior, or catatonia. The negative symptoms include: flat affect (not showing emotion on your face), avolition (lack of motivation), alogia (lack of speech), etc. Sometimes the negative symptoms are mistaken for depression because it has similar symptoms. If you have a bizarre delusion which according to the psychologists or psychiatrists believing aliens are after you qualify as a bizarre delusion that makes you automatically have schizophrenia if the active symptoms have been going on for a month and other symptoms going on for 6 months and it interferes with your daily life. So that is my take on this situation. But keep in mind my opinion does NOT replace going to a real doctor.
