Bad luck seems to come in waves....my dog has pink eye and now I'm wondering if I'm pregnant. I had paraguard inserted back in Feb. No real problems since then, but obviously hubby and i have been having unprotected sex....he's been cumming in me. My periods were kind of messed up after paraguard, but were almost back on schedule by April. My last real period started on June 7th. I have taken 4 pregnancy tests, 3 of which came up negative, the one I took tonight was positive. Is this possible???

Probably, yes.
There has to be HCG in the urine to trigger a positive for a pregnancy test and if there's HCG in the urine, then its pregnancy.

Nothing is 100% effective (unless you just don't have sex).

How are your strings and such? Any bad cramping or anything? Usually the only way a pregnancy happens is if the IUD shifted out of place somehow.

It's possible that you're pregnant, but there can be false positives as well. Sounds like a trip to the doctor is in order.

Hope things get better for you!

Hey! thanks for the responses! I went to the doctor this afternoon and I was negative, both urine and blood. I was told that it could be just a glitch....and that every so often false positives do occur. My strings were fine and Dr. said that my IUD was still in place, so not to worry. If my period fails to show up after 2 weeks then I'm supposed to go in for another exam and maybe even an ultra sound. Thank you so much!

I guess either way you were beating the odds huh? False positive through a glitch, or getting pregnant with an IUD.

Glad things worked out for you! Very Happy
