Hi, I have just joined and I am looking for advice. My 10y old son has been referred (by the optician) for a suspect papilledema to an opthamologist. The latter did not seem to be concerned but referred Daniel for an MRI scan as a precaution. His judgement on the urgency of the referral was based on the fact that I said that Daniel's behaviour was normal and that he was not complaining of headaches but had a couple of episodes of transient blurred vision. We are waiting for an MRI appointment, Daniel ever since the opthamologist visit is now complaining of head aches and dizziness. I don't know if he has been influenced by what's been said. Could the symptoms suddenly appear and increase in frequency? What should I do? Is this a case of emergency? Please help.
