Q: Panic Attacks during health talks

In school,
I seem to be having some sort of panic attack when we're having health talks, but it happens in assembly, as we were having a talk on mcdonalds food and the effects it has on your body, and i felt faint, lack of vision in my eyes, like i was dieing....I just wanted to run out, i felt fine afterwards...but it was the worst feeling in the world and i havn't been to an assembly since...
I'm seeing a physcologist, who explained it was our bodily "alert system", which i understand fully...
Although my next appointment isn't for 4 weeks, and i have assembly 4 times... health classes,
I really really am scared and need help.

Thanks a bunch

Panicky inlove

Perhaps health-related issues scare you. Of course, it could be lots of reasons for the panic attacks. Perhaps, just being in the room full of people got to you, and the fact that it was a health class is inconsequential.

Good luck. Don't tried to analyze your panic attacks too closely. It's good to understand what triggers them. At the same time, obsessing about them kind of fuels the fear.
