Q: Pancreatitis / marijuana

My 17 year old grandson was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis this past year after starting on Risperdal. However, we found that he was also doing "party pills", drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana. He has discontinued the alcohol and "party pills" but I believe, continues to smoke marijuana. He is also on Darvocet and Valium presently due to an auto accident/injuries in October but he is taking them only BID. My question is, can marijuana induce or irritate pancreatitis or does it have no affect in this disease? He's presently vomiting and hurting on a "6" level. He had not had his morning dose of meds either. (This episode just started late this morning.)

Thank you very much.

Pancreatitis-Risperdol?!?!
Excuse me a min...he's on Risperdol for what?? an accident? Pancreatitis?? It's a drug for schizophrenia so I'm at a loss in understanding why he's even on it.
