I am looking for a pancreatic cancer specialist in New York City. My sister has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and has been told that is self-contained and has not spread. They believe it to be operable. We want a second opinion. Anyone know a specialist?

I need someone to answer my questions. I was diagnosed with 4th stage pancreatic cancer 14 months ago. I did chemotherapy until I couldn't take it any more. My Doctor agreed that i was not tolerating it at all. Since then I have been in remission, this is good thing I know but I still get fatigued, I have good days and bad days, is this normal.... have not lost any weight
but I have alot of bloating and my bowels are watery yellow mucus, almost uncontrolable. Any in put on that.
Thank Susan

Response to Snoozen
Hi Snoozen,
Unfortunately I do not have an answer for your question, but I would strongly encourage you to discuss your symptoms with your doctor (if you haven't already). Congratulations on being in remisssion!!! I am so happy for you and I hope and pray that my uncle will be able to go into remission with his cancer as well. He also has stage 4 pancreatic cancer that spread to his liver. If you don't mind me asking, I saw that you were stage 4. Did your cancer metastatize to the liver? Is there anything you did that you suspect may have helped your cancer go into remission? We're grasping at staws here, so any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!
