Q: Palpitations and weakness ?

I have been suffering from palpitations, a weakness in my left side and general sinking feeling for nearly a year now. It is particularly bad the day after ive had alcohol. Sometimes it can disturb my sleep and generally makes me feel quite anxious.

I have been to my GP and the hospital numerous times for tests etc. My doctor initially thought it might be severe acid reflux, but has now decided just to diagnose me with anxiety. I was taking pills for anxiety for a while but have been off them for a few months now. They tended to have little or no effect, and the symptoms have remained throughout.

Recently I went to the gym for the first time in a while and it seemed to get worse, which leads me back into thinking it may be my heart. I have spoken with my Dr and he just seems to think it's because I am just unfit at the moment.

Can anyone help me at all? I am really struggling to find any answers at the moment and my problem is showing no signs of going away...
