I have previously written about my HEART PALPITATION. For reference please check ( http://ehealthforum.com/health/palpitation -t192292.html ). More than a month a ago I visited one of the best Gastroenterologist and after listening to me he prescribed CONCON 2.5 MG Daily in the morning, Nexum 20mg Daily to be taken 10 mins before Breakfast, Rivotril 0.5 MG 3 times daily with half tablet in the morning and evening and full tablet at bedtime. And he asked me to visit him after 1 week. After a week when I visited I had pain under my breast bone and then I told my Gastroenterologist about it he said its nothing just b'coz of my stomach. I even asked him if there is any gastric problem or any heart problem he said its just because of anxiety and nothing else. Then he added LIBRAX 2 times daily( Morning and Evening ) with the above mentioned medicine and asked me to stop taking rivotril in the morning and evening just to take a single dose at bedtime and he asked me to visit him after 3 weeks. During these 3 weeks I suffered through constipation, canker sores, feeling dizzy and many other symptoms. Sometimes whatever I ate just passed undigested through stool (faeces). 2 days back I had severe pain in my abdomen and then I had loose stools around 10-15 of them whole night in which there was some blood. Then yesterday I visited him again and he said he added Secnidazole forte 2 tablets only and IMMODIUM 2 tablets only to be taken once and continue the previous medicine for 3 more weeks. Now I am confused that my doctor says there is no problem with you its just ANXIETY problem and then he prescribes so many medicine. What am I suppose to do regarding this. I asked him what should I eat and what I should'nt he said you can eat everyting except junk foods and other similar things which doesn't suit you. Now what do u docs suggest me to do. Sometimes I have pain under my breast bone. I'll be visiting my CARDIOLOGIST on 1st september so ask to make sure that my heart is working fine although I have previously visited him in which my ECG was normal but still I am confused. I am suffering through constipation now so please do let me know what should I eat in order to prevent it. Kindly reply asap

Some thoughts for you
I was looking for information for myself, and came upon your post. After reading it,I think I may have some ideas for you. I have a motility problem. I have gastroparesis - which basically means the nerve in my stomach does not work well. I take medication for it and live on a liquid diet. I also have some sort of motility problem in my bowels. The medication for my stomach helps things to move along otherwise I get very sick from being constipated. I also take 2 doses of miralax every evening to make sure that things move along. With my condition I can only drink liquids, but there are varying degrees of motility problems.....some people can eat more solid food others cannot. Generally people avoid fiber and too much fat as they digest slowly. Now let me tell you what can happen to me if things get backed up and I get the least bit constipated. My chest feels tight, I get heart palpitations, I have anxiety and feel very scared and this anxiety usually comes in waves, and finally I can feel dizzy and my arms can feel numb. In my situation I have learned that all of these problems are related to my motility problem. As soon as things start moving along, it starts to go away. For me
I stop all food and only drink gatorade or water for the day. I drink as much as I can as the more liquids you have the sooner you get better. I also take several doses of miralax. Gradually I notice the palpitations and all the other symptoms go away. So if you do have a motility problem in your bowels this could be the reason for your palpitations and anxiety. You could try drinking about 8 glasses of water daily and taking miralax for a few days and see if you feel better. You could also see if you feel better if you change your diet. Generally more fruits and vegetables and fiber lessen constipation. However, if you have a motility problem where your bowels are just slow moving, or your stomach is slow moving you may need to actually do the opposite and lessen or eliminate fiber and fat. You could talk to your gastro doctor about getting tested for motility problems also. Hope I was of some help
